Tunnel of Bones Review
Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab is the second installment in the Cassidy Blake trilogy and it overall was an enjoyable book.
You can read my review for the first installment of the Cassidy Blake trilogy, A City of Ghosts, here
I am more lenient on Cassidy in this book after remembering she is just 12 years old. After remembering that, all the mistakes she made in the first book makes a lot of sense.
In Tunnel of Bones, I appreciated that we got to know more about Jacob and his backstory and the tragic way he died.
Perhaps, the reason why I enjoyed this book far more than City of Ghosts is due to the Tunnel of Bones plot. In this book, the plot leans more towards a detective mystery story and I am a sucker for those types of plots.
Another reason why I feel this book is a good sequel and is more enjoyable was how the author expanded the lore of the ghosts in this book and their powers.
In conclusion, whilst I do not have much to say about it, it is generally an enjoyable and fast paced book.
Tunnel of Bones Synopsis

Trouble is haunting Cassidy Blake . . . even more than usual.
She (plus her ghost best friend, Jacob, of course) are in Paris, where Cass’s parents are filming their TV show about the world’s most haunted cities. Sure, it’s fun eating croissants and seeing the Eiffel Tower, but there’s true ghostly danger lurking beneath Paris, in the creepy underground Catacombs.
When Cass accidentally awakens a frighteningly strong spirit, she must rely on her still-growing skills as a ghosthunter — and turn to friends both old and new to help her unravel a mystery. But time is running out, and the spirit is only growing stronger.
And if Cass fails, the force she’s unleashed could haunt the city forever.
